Jameson Williams, Lions - Fantasy Football Outlook

Detroit Lions wide receiverJameson Williams has flashed talent in both of his NFL seasons thus far but has not fully put all the pieces together. 2024 is a make-or-break year for Williams. While he may not turn out to be a high-end elite wide receiver, he should provide consistent fantasy value. He missed six games last season due to a gambling suspension and played in only six games in 2022 as he was recovering from an ACL tear at the very end of his college career. Williams finished 2023 with 354 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Those aren't numbers to write home about, but as the 2023 season progressed, Williams' snap share and route share steadily increased through the NFC championship game. In other words, the Lions began to trust him, especially when it mattered most despite being Detroit's N0. 3 option behindAmon-Ra St. BrownandSam LaPorta.

With a full offseason and no gambling suspension in his way in 2024, the 23-year-old has a chance to shine right out of the gate. This is a player who has the talent, quarterback, and offense to finish inside the top 30 wide receivers in fantasy realistically, and he will cost you nothing in drafts. Williams should, at the very least, deliver better positional value than WR45. Target him after your starting lineup has been filled. He could end up as a consistent starter for your fantasy team.

Curtis Samuel, Bills - Fantasy Football Outlook

Out goesStefon DiggsandGabe Davis, and in comes Curtis Samueland a bunch of other receivers (rookieKeon Coleman,Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mack Hollins). Maybe Coleman hits, but it's also very possible he doesn't. He didn't put up gaudy stats in college and has a few holes in his game. According to Matt Harmon of Reception Perception, Coleman struggled to separate against man coverage in college. Harmon even went as far as to put him on the "Treylon Burks,Jonathan Mingowarning axis."

Things could change, but Coleman may not be a high target-earner in this offense. That leaves Samuel, along withKhalil Shakirand tight endDalton Kincaid, as the likely top options in the passing game. Shakir's ok, but he registered over four targets in just three of 17 games last season. Yes, it was with Diggs and Davis, but Samuel has played alongside some high-level talent, and he's had four 90+ target seasons in his seven-year career. He's most likely to be WR1 of this group. According to Harmon, Samuel is a "position versatile WR who can win in multiple roles and separate." He even went as far as to call him a "perfect fit" for the Bills' offense.

Between Diggs and Davis, there are 242 targets up for grabs in Buffalo. If Samuel commands even just an 18% target share, he'd see around 110 targets for the Bills in 2024 based on historical passing rates. There's definitely a pathway for him to be a viable WR3 this season.

- Adam Koffler, RotoBaller

Romeo Doubs, Packers - Fantasy Football Outlook

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs is entering his third NFL season. Doubs finished 2023 as a back-end WR3, securing 59 catches for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. The Nevada product had an up-and-down season but came alive in the playoffs as he posted a 6-151-1 line and a 4-83 line against two of the league's toughest defenses. While his target competition remains the same withChristian Watson,Jayden Reed,Dontayvion Wicks,Luke Musgrave, andTucker Kraftall returning to Green Bay, Doubs and quarterbackJordan Loveappear to have strong red-zone chemistry.

If Love takes another step forward in his second full season as the starter, he could take Doubs with him. That being said, the target competition is tough, barring no injuries, and Doubs could be in line for another up-and-down season in the stat sheets. He is currently going in later rounds and offers WR2 upside in the event that one or two of the Packers' weapons go down, and he continues to build on his playoff success.

- Brant Henson, RotoBaller

Joshua Palmer, Chargers - Fantasy Football Outlook

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiverJoshua Palmerlooked like he was coming on as a go-to guy forJustin Herbertin the Chargers' offense before a late-October knee strain robbed him of six weeks of the season. Now, Palmer sits atop the depth chart of the LAC wide receiver corps. With the departure ofKeenan Allen,Mike Williams, andAustin Ekeler, so goes 250 of Herbert's targets from last season. Palmer – the clear veteran wide receiver in Los Angeles – will once again have the opportunity to prove himself alongside rookie-year disappointmentQuentin Johnstonand newly drafted second-round pickLadd McConkey.

Palmer will likely get a ton of reps if he remains healthy and presents as the most trusted option for Herbert in a Chargers offense bereft of weapons. Given his cost in drafts, he is essentially forgotten as a great candidate to contribute throughout the season and is absolutely worth best ball and deep-league consideration.
